SANE is a program that provides immediate and compassionate care for adult, adolescent and child victims of sexual assualt. SANE provides an important service, creating a safe and caring environment, that allows for the time and attention necessary for a comprehensive exam and evidence collection.

SANE nurses are RN's, who have specialized forensic training, care for sexual assault victims and obtain forensic evidence and work in partnership with local law enforcement agencies, victim advocates and community agencies. SANE nurses complete extensive classroom and clinical training, and are able to provide expert testimony in a court of law when necessary.
