For 41 years, Flight for Life Colorado has been dedicated to transporting any patient in need, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay or insurance status. This nonprofit program now serves a nine-state region, and has transported more than 110,000 seriously ill and injured patients to the most appropriate hospital for medical care. Each year, flight teams provide more than $4 million in charity and uncompensated care.
This would not be possible without the continuing, loyal support of thousands of Flight For Life Colorado supporters. Your donation to Flight for Life Colorado will help keep this life-saving program flying for years to come.
As the first civilian hospital-based emergency medical helicopter service in the U.S., Flight For Life began with a single helicopter, based on the roof of the old St. Anthony Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Today, its fleet of 5 helicopters, 3 fixed-wing airplanes and 3 Critical Care ground transport ambulances, transport patients to and from 7 bases across Colorado.
